Announcing support for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing

September 12, 2019, Seattle, WA:

We are happy to announce support for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing for our customers. Microsoft Teams Direct Routing might be right solution for the customers who already have PRI/T1/ SIP trunks terminated on their premises and want to leverage the flexibility of ‘Micorsoft Teams’. We are also happy to announce that couple of customers are live using Microsoft Team Direct Routing setup. For more details on Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, go to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/direct-routing-plan

Please note Microsoft Teams Direct Routing is not same as Microsoft Teams with calling plan. Major differences are

  • Microsoft Calling Plan is not available in your country.
  • Limited Minutes for local and international calling from Microsoft Calling Plan
  • Unlike SFB CCE or SFB Hybrid, you have less hardware to be installed and managed
  • Each user can be assigned with a DID
  • PBX features like IVR, Hunt groups, call queues can be configured for your users on Microsoft Teams
  • Your organization requires connection to third-party analog devices, call centers, and so on
  • You have an opportunity to leverage your organization’s existing contract with a PSTN carrier
