Have to attend a meeting? Do not have the Skype for Business (SfB) Client? You can use the Web App Instead.
If you are an existing user of SfB and have the client installed on your local machine, on clicking the conference link provided to you in the email, you will be directed to the below pop-up window. It asks you to launch the SfB application or ‘Do nothing’. Please click Launch Application if you have the client installed and want log in using your credentials.
Click ‘Do Nothing’.
Now you will be directed to a page as shown below. Click on Join using Lync Web App instead.
If this is the first time that you are trying to join a SfB/ Lync meeting using a web browser you will have to follow the steps mentioned below:
Now, click Launch Application.
The application starts in a new window. Please enter the name in the text field and click on the Join the meeting.
There will be an alert stating that the domain wants to load a plug-in that will let you participate in audio and video conferencing and will also let you present your screen to others.
Please select Allow.
You are now logged into the SfB meeting! Happy Conferencing!!
