How to setup paging on Polycom phones for VOIP Connections

In order to setup paging on Polycom phones, do the following.
In the sip.cfg file, make the following changes.

<alertInfo voIpProt.SIP.alertInfo.1.value="Ring Answer" voIpProt.SIP.alertInfo.1.class="4"/>

<RING_ANSWER se.rt.4.name="Ring Answer" se.rt.4.type="ring-answer" se.rt.4.timeout="2" se.rt.4.ringer="2" se.rt.4.callWait="6" se.rt.4.mod="1"/>

 Make sure in the <mac.cfg> file of the phone it points to above ‘sip.cfg’ file.

Then on the server side create a ‘Feature prefix’ and assign it to ‘Page telephone’, in this case ‘5’ has be created and assigned as feature prefix for paging.

To page a phone, dial 5 before dialing the phone extension. For e.g. if your internal extensions are 201,202 …210.  To page extension 204, you just got to dial 5204.
